GUESS ORIGINALS
A Prospective Collection for the (YC) Young Contemporary Women's Fall 2023 Season
As a young streetwear brand, GUESS Originals has the opportunity to keep molding and building their identity, while maintaining their roots in vintage GUESS. Fusing new, contemporary looks with their current skate prep aesthetic, I hoped to introduce GUESS Originals to a wider audience in this prospective collection for the GUESS Originals Women's Fall 2023 season. Fall 2023 calls for a “return of indie-sleaze” and a rising cyberpunk scene, and both are in the forefront in this collection. Elements of cyberpunk can be seen in the splashes of neon and chrome and graphic prints like digi-camo and pipes, while indie-sleaze finds its place in classic patterns and silhouettes that are worn in the utmost effortlessness.
